It’s like a piece of France in the middle of Vienna… ‚le Mercerie’…. of course I had to check it out!
Es ist ein verstecktes Plätzchen im 9. Bezirk in Wien.
It’s a hidden gem in the 9th district of vienna – no homepage, no facebook page no telephone… you can find some pics on instagram only…
The menu is small and it’s not a big variety offered, but the croissants and the baguette are awesome! Coffee is okay, staff is really nice but maybe a bit overchallenged with one waitress for all tables…
I had the small breakfast – this includes a baguette, a croissant, marmalade, butter and a coffee – and an scrambled eggs with truffle (3 eggs – looked like 1,5 eggs maybe…) for about 12.- in total. So let’s say it’s noch cheap and the salty breakfast not a breakthrough… but as the atmosphere is super nice and the croissants taste superior, it’s a terrific place to meet for a small break or to get baguette or croissants for your home-breakfast.
